Some questions for a Magnum swap.
Billyjack, loved your movies! You have whats commonly referred to as a 318 roller engine. The magnum heads are vastly superior to the LA smogers on the roller LA so I would bolt magnum into your truck. Use your timing cover and get the cam bolt/eccentric kit so you can run mech fuel pump I would run all the magnum serpentine parts which will eliminate the smog pump. You will have to slot your intake bolt holes, drill the heads or get a cross wind/edelbrock magnum air gap. I would keep the lock up trans as you will get better MPG and it wont hurt anything running it. You need a switch to lock it up but thats it. The magnum block has LA style tabs on block plus other mounting pads for Magnum trucks so no issues bolting it in. If I didnt answer all your questions or if you have more, just post here or pm. Super clean 67 270 with AC, no rust, perfect bumpers, grill and tail lights, 64, 68 valiant, 65 wagon, 66 wagon, 70 demon shell etc..did I mention it was 100 degrees in the shade today?
