904 transmission id help

i have the trans out of my 1965 barracuda which i think is original but i don't know how to read the numbers. purchased a 1978 318 out rv and was planning on using the 727 that came with it but now i am wanting to rebuild my 904 so i can use original shifter. just wondering if trans is 1965 and if it will work with the newer 318 or should i use the 727 it will be going in the 1965 barracuda
