I think we started making plans November 1st last year for what we'd be doing this October. Although we'll keep the holographic skeletons and other spooky decor, we'll try to make it a little more kid friendly with the Minion costumes and Minion treats. The biggest new addition will be a 3 dimensional projected witch that will have sound also.
In order to be able to afford handing out a variety of Halloween treats we've been keeping an eye out on eBay for bargains. So far it looks like everybody will receive a plastic spider ring, a plastic fly, an L.E.D. flashlight finger ring, a piece of candy, a 4" plastic skeleton, and one Minion treat. The Minion treats will be either in the form of themed pencils, cereal bowls, notepads, pencil cases, or sticker books. We try to keep it down to about 50 cents per kid. Half of the treats we'll be giving out have already arrived.
I hate wearing a costume and am still hoping that someone else will wear the Gru one that I bought. - Maybe my sister from Denver will if she comes down. I'd rather spend my time trying to maintain order with the displays and make sure things are going smoothly. Teresa is looking forward to wearing her Minion costume though.
