I spent a lot of time looking over each vehicle. You never know what you'll learn when you're checking out modifications. Almost every Camaro and Chevelle won awards. It's hard not to feel there was a bias but when the most important judging criteria was cleanliness and detailing - they may have deserved the wins. As much as I do enjoy the all Mopar shows, I also like the diversity at shows like this one.
I'd like to see judging changed at these small town shows. I think they should have a check list of stuff that is more important than how clean a car is. The way they have it now, true daily drivers don't stand a chance. It's more like a show to award those that trailer their cars and rarely drive them.
If they awarded points for plug and engine compartment wire routing, rarity, creativity, uniqueness, paint, engineering, etc... I also would like them to have the shows set up so that half the time the doors, hoods, and trunks would be closed so that you could judge the overall stance & appearance.
I think they should have a photo of every entrant so they could display the image of the winning vehicles as they're announced. - That way people would actually know which cars won.
