Are the TTI shorties really my only option?
A '68 A body with PS will easily handle a 60s or 70s 340 driver's manifold. It will also handle the large hole 360 magnum passenger's manifold. I sell these manifolds as well as the 340 driver's down pipe to clear the torsion bar. I make the 340 down pipe myself. I had to make one for my '69 Barracuda (318, see pic) and I started making and selling them to FABO members after I had numerous request. I also sell the 360 magnum (bell flared) down pipe:
