Check for a master spline, it will be wider than the others. Also a bottle brush on the inside to clean the splines inside the coupler and small amount of grease on the splines wouldn't hurt

Thank you, I will. It was only off for a few minutes to install the manifold. Can't understand why it won't slide back in position.
