It was 2 days...... they were back flying in the 13th. I was in civil air patrol at the time and we were allowed in the sky's, only aircraft other than fighters. We flew to a little grass strip in upstate new york, staged as back up for the civil air patrol c172s doing the mapping of ground zero. We couldn't find any place else nearby to land due to air stop, airports even small ones were packed to the brim. Though it was cool with the f16 escorts across 3 states. Wished I had a camera
