Hello all you happy people!

So for starters I don't have my A-body........yet. I'm a small town kid just a year or so away from a respectable programming certification, and I may be at least that far away from my goal if not a little more, but it doesn't hurt to get together with the knowledgable community and get a jump on the know-how and the need-to-know. In the distant future me and my brother have our sights set on getting a 68-69 Charger R/T together, but in the much nearer future my own goal is a 71 or 72 Demon 340. I wanna try for a numbers matching H-code if I can get a good deal on one, but willing to find a separate block and drop it in if need be (I check craigslist and find a lot of slant 6 automatic cars). For now my checklist just sits as follows:

-'71-'72 Demon body (with interior, or at least the dash, in reasonable condition. Love the look of the Demon stock dash, namely that rectangular speedo)
71Dodge-Demon-DASH.jpg

-Preferably original 340 (any used blocks that gather my interest I'll plan on having inspected first)
-8-3/4" sure grip rear end (if not already present)
-4-spd stick (my default option is the A-833 unless if my research down the road turns up a better option
-Upgrade brakes if not already restomodded (can't play around with single brake cylinders)

Anything else in the build I'll leave up in the air until I get closer to my goal

welcome to the fray - hey, you've got to start somewhere!! I like your vision - good luck with all of it!

Thanks, yeah I figure that's a good starting point to aim for at this time. I can look at parts like headers, roller cams, heads and exhaust setups later on when I get closer to actually having the car so I can get a better idea of how I wanna set up those little details. In the meantime I'll just read through the threads so I can maybe learn a little extra knowledge along the way

Yeah that's at least my plan so far. I'm sure I'll have a lot more to learn along the way, but I already have a few close resources on classic cars, and then I also have you guys!
