360/380 crate motor oiling

Magnum gurus: I have a 360/380 crate magnum and wondering if anyone knows if there is an anti drain back valve to the filter on these motors? Twice I've pulled the filter off and no oil drains out whatsoever ... thought that's kind of odd?
