120amp Denso Alt
-Recently purchased this NEW* not rebuilt 120amp Denso Alternator for my 340. Others have stated it bolts up fine, but with my heads(Eddy 6017) and M/T valve covers it would require slight grinding to get it to fit with full adjustability. It does bolt on and align perfectly using the Mancini SB Denso brackets, just could't get enough adjustability. I forget if I couldn't get enough slack, or get it tight enough, but grinding a little off the valvecovers would have resolved it. I just pushed the easy button with a smaller 70amp and called it a day.
I paid $129 plus shipping. I can return it to Spider Marine, but have to pay shipping, so I figured I would offer it up here first. I'll take $100 plus whatever the shipping is. Also if it doesn't fit your application, no worries, just send it back to me and I'll give you a full refund. Not trying to make any money, just want to see it go to someone that can use it and save the next guy a few bucks.
These are great for eliminating low voltage issues at idle/lower RPMs, running higher load accessories like electric fans, and elimintaing the OE voltage regulator and wiring from under the hood. You just run a charge wire directly to the starter relay stud, run a sense wire directly to the starter relay stud, and use the OE exciter wire. You also have the option for a "dummy" light if you want.
Here is a link to the alternator and the things you'll need to retrofit it to a stock SB.
