Worth the headache?

Sounds like you have a car with all the creature comforts of a daily driver and you want to add a little more power. Okay. Adding headers has ALWAYS been a very cost effective way of doing that.

Back in 1969 I had a 68 Roadrunner with PS, PB, and A/C and wanted to do the same thing so I added headers. However the headers produced a very tinny sound inside the car. I've never heard anybody on this site mention this. This was not a second car, it was my only car so I had to live with this all the time. Because of the tinny sound, I removed them within a year.

This noise may not bother others and there is a thermal wrap that might help. So my advice is to be sure to ride in a car with headers to see if this noise bothers you.
