Good morning, raining off and on here this week, Friday they are forecasting wind and rain, then sunny for the weekend. Thankfully the powers that be at work haven't decided we should be open Labor Day or the Sunday before.
It's really humid, I've been taking my time cleaning the interior of the Fury, getting into every nook and cranny with a toothbrush.
A funny thing happened at work last night. A party of 30 locals, the husband put together a surprise dinner for the wife's birthday. Word was out that the wife was being a real ***** around the hotel. When she came in, the waiter who was working the party with me said when he worked downtown he waited on her and she was the meanest lady in town. Well when I went to take her order, somehow I got my words mixed up and instead of "order" I said, "would you like to "divorce" now? I apologized and said I don't know how that word came out of my mouth, but she just wouldn't let it go, even when I said goodnight, she said, "I'll be back with my new husband." I thought, c u Next Tuesday.
Vacation's coming up a week from today, I am so ready!!
