1968 SS/B Nostalgia Ignition Advice
Hi,
I´m building a `68 SS/B Barracuda for Show and Nostalgia Racing
First I was gonna use the older type of distributor, but since the splitter didn´t fit, I have to use a slightly newer aluminum house one.
As for the Ignition Control Unit, I suppose the 534 Chrome Box is the one to chose with the Crane R290
camshaft. (7-8000 rpm). The TIS is out of question.
But I have also heard some is not very impressed with the newer version chrome box... What do you say... Is it god enough for some Nostalgia Racing? Or should I try something else?
I have had good luck finding used old parts in vary good shape, and might even find the chrome box originally made by Chrysler.
Also what coil to use? Has to be the round type used on the original SS cars.
So question is, what Electronic Ignition System to use on this Show Racer...
Thank You, Stefan
