Stop in for a cup of coffee

Figured you have to mod it quite a bit. If you actually duplicate original, I wouldn't expect to save much. I'd be interested to see what's left for a full dash to only weigh 8 lbs - a few gauges hanging on a bracket?

actually no, i weighed mine without the factory gauge cluster or bezel. that 40 lbs is in the dash frame, the heater controls, glovebox (that glove box lid is over 5 lbs itself) and dash pad mostly.

I figure with the gauges, wiring and fiberglass, the one i make should come in around 15-20 lbs.

yea - fiberglass done right can get a tad heavy - if I were to redo the one in my car I would probably go with something like this JEGS Performance Products 70800: Aluminum Dash Panel Overall Dimensions: 60" Wide x 12-1/8" Deep x 4-3/4" Face Height | JEGS
nice
and working with fiberglass SUCKS
