Stop in for a cup of coffee

There is a deep seated reason humans spent so much time domesticating the chicken and squeezing the oil from seeds to fry it in so that we could enjoy the tender juiciness of fried chicken. There is also a reason we spent vast sums of money and energy in our early history to send sailing men on long journeys to far flung lands to find the very best spices with which to season it.

Humans are incredibly motivated to find not just food, but rather the tastiest food to satisfy our desires. Food is simply fuel for most of the animals on the planet but for humans it is also an emotional experience that satisfies our soul when we find the tastiest foods. If we can't find it, we create it and make it better than nature ever did.

We really don't need more than basic food to survive...but we have decided that we need especially tasty food to really enjoy life and expend huge amounts of energy focused on creating even better, more tasty food upon which to feed.

Any human, any where, will start becoming selective about what they like to eat once they pass the level of having just enough food to ensure their survival.

It is in our DNA.

True...

But think about early man eating the same things over and over... Gets boring and bland...

That's why we search for more ways to make it different and exciting...

My dog won't eat his dog food if we give him too much table scraps... Why eat that crap when you can get the good stuff???

He saves the dog food for later if he can't con me into giving him more people food...

Even he knows the difference and prefers variety...
