Geof I hear ya on the extra $$ for the lenses. I would assume if you bought repop that the lens come loose and you have to install them?
The purchasers of the aftermarket units would have to chime in on that, but I would assume that they need to be installed!
When I priced out my bezel, everything was cheaper across the board to have redone as opposed to buying new, and GCAR breaks down every step and prices it accordingly! The bezel redo was $330 I believe, although repairs can add to that (mine needed no repairs) $45 to polish the lenses, I bought new green and red lenses, the pillars were $80 a piece, and the glovebox trim was $50? The rest was shipping for my indestructible box, which the customer pays both ways!
Put my total against the $495 for the repop unit plus $195 for the lenses, and I think it's cheaper to have one redone! You just have to be patient, plan waaay ahead or send them an extra bezel, as GCAR had a waiting list of about 3 months, which turned into 9 months in my case! I wasn't in a hurry and didn't mind!!!
