Slant 6 Engine Swap
Hey all you Mopar fans! So I got a possibly interesting project. I have a 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 225. Well the engine gave out a couple weeks ago (I know scary!) I was able to locate another 225 but it's a Super 225 coming out of a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda this weekend (I'm helping the owner with his swap, he's putting in what I assume to be a rebuilt V8) The guy is giving me everything on the engine, including the carburetor, and the transmission as well. I'd prefer to have no surprises on this simple swap. What should I expect when it coming to hooking up the donor engine and transmission, with the new linkages (I'm assuming that keeping the transmission's to the corresponding engine's to be a must.) The current distributor on the donor is shot, I just rebuilt my distributor. Swappable? I'm assuming yes as well. Also if any of you have any sort of detailed information on the '68 Super 225 don't hesitate to share what you have.
