Maybe...ask them what they seeded with. Contractors like to use mixes with a lot of annual rye cause it will start quick and prevents early erosion. But, you need enough other grass in the mix to take over. Perennial rye and Kentucky Bluegrass are common around here. Not much diff weather, probably same will grow there. You'll likely have grass there in spring, but might look pretty thin by summer.
