First of all this post needs to be its own thread!

Secondly, it can be done. There are some great posts and information here. Do a search and you will find a lot of helpful information.

And last but not least, tell your son to never give up. This is doable! It's not the easiest thing to do but he's had to deal with harder things than this. Keep the dream alive!

It can be done as there is a member on here with a 392 Hemi in a 65 Valiant

Ethan,

You have many replies in your original post on this subject.

How do I find that and I get no notices

The easiest way I've found to get to my previous posts is to click on the Watched Threads at the top of the page, then select the title of the previous post you are looking for. You can also click on your name next to one of your posts, then click profile page, then click postings tab and select the post you are looking for.

Found link and posted below.

Need help and info to help out my autistic son with his project

You are inside of a thread where everyone on here is going to to post pictures and motor combos on their A body big block cars. My a Demon has nothing to do with your build. I would make the following recommendations..

1. Address the cars brakes. If you did not upgrade them, you may want to, the little drums on that car will make it hard to stop.
2. Upgrade the rear end. If your car has a 7 1/4 rear it won't last.
3. Address the suspension. Depending on how you build the motor you are going to add weight to the car's front. A heavy nose, light ***, and stock suspension is asking for trouble controlling the car.
4. Find Schumacher industries website. The sell everything you will need and have step by step articles. Michael is a very responsive and super helpful.
5. Build a 383. They grow on trees and the height of the deck will make it easier to close the hood and still use a nice dual plane intake.
6. Start another thread outside of this one in either Member Restorations or A Body Big Block tech, but avoid responding in this thread since it is not really for what you are asking.
7. I am going to PRivate Message you a test. It will give you an alert, then you can see how folks talk on here outside of the threads.
8. Tell your son to take a deep breath and relax. This hobby is time consuming, expensive, and at times it can be frustrating. You will get it there.

Ethan,

This is not your thread. People are posting pictures of their cars in this thread as that is what this thread was created for. MomsDuster already asked you to post outside of this thread and I gave you a link above in post #640 to your original "need help" thread. Please click on that link and post in that thread or start a build thread and quit posting in this thread which is dedicated to posting pictures of big block A-bodies. You are continuing to ruin this thread even after being asked not to.

While many of us appreciate your intentions and enthusiasm to help your son, you are going to acquire enemies quickly by stepping on others threads. Many people here are offering advice to help you. Please respect the members of this site by posting questions in your own thread.

Love everyone's pictures. Here is a just a couple of mine. The Barracuda is built like a 60's super stocker. 408 4 speed, with all nos speed equipment dated from 69 and back, even the lettering is hand painted. The 65 Valiant is just acquired and will be built like a 70's street car.

Her son needs to find another car to put that 440 in, or go with a small block. Sometimes tuff decisions have to be made. Putting a 440 into a 64-66 Cuda is a task for an experienced builder. And even hardcore experienced builders would not choose to drop a 440 into one of these Cudas. When these Cars were in their heyday, even dropping a 340 in was a nightmare.
The Mother has absolutely NO CLUE here.

I thought this would be a good section for people to show off there big block A body.

There are alot of different ways to install one, and different options you can bolt on, so It would be a great place for people to pan through and look at a selection of Big Block A bodies, and pick and choose how they would like to make their car look like.

So here is a pic of my 1970 duster 440, 4spd, suregrip.
Very Nice! what headers are you using with the out interfering with the z bar?
