it used to be like that here, but waiting to decorate the outside of the house seems smarter now in the unseasonably warm temps and usually it is rushed after thanksgiving because of inherit laziness and procrastination

So an early start will make it all go smoother ....at least in theory.

Good theory! When the kids were younger, It was always part of the tradition for the day after Thanksgiving to put up all the lights and whatnot. Sometimes it was brutal cold, sometimes raining, sometimes nice.. But we always had to get it done that Friday..
