All hail the Plymouth Horizon

I bought three new 2-door Horizons...'79, '82 and '87. The VW-based engine in the '79 began burning oil at about 70k, but the 2.2s in the later ones were great. All had automatics, and they were flawless. All got well over 30 mpg in my 25-mile daily commute of mixed driving.

My only complaints were door handles and carbs, and carbs were expensive.

Overall, they served me well and were far better quality, and performed better than friend's Chevettes and Pintos.
