I do what I want to do to my 67 GTS I bought new. I don't ask anyone and don't really care about their opinions because I am not trying to sell it. My original 383 is long gone and now replaced with 499". Just finishing all new wiring and electric power steering. So that being said I would fix it like I want it if I were you, Joe
