65 Valiant Signet rocker panel trim removal?

I need suggestions on how to remove the rocker panel trim on my Valiant. I know they are held on with clips but how do you release the clips? Or do they pop off with a little pressure from a trim tool? There is also a screw towards the front of the trim. I'm not going to use the trim but it's in good shape and I would rather not damage it. Thanks, Litz
 
I seem to recall that mine slid off after removing the ends that are screwed on.
 
I think the ones on my Cuda also have A screw just below where the door meets the front fender
