very basic question on paint.

We all have different standards, but around here, the standards seem to be on the upper side of quality.

I need to do a paint job on mine in the next year or so, need to make it drivable first. The body I have has surface rust only, should be a pretty painless job. I hope!

I thought mine had NO RUST in it, until I tore off the paint and the 1/2" of bondo. That is what I did all last winter is repair rust. and body damage. Unless you are the first owner of the car and know for a fact there is no rust, as long as you are at it, tear off all the paint before you paint. It is not that hard.
Check everywhere for rust. You will be happy you did, if just for the peace of mind
