Meh, I've had my share of carbureted stuff over the years. EFI means there is no choke to mess with and no adjustments needed for elevation changes. Economy is better, as are cold starts.
I installed a Carter AFB on my 1978 Power Wagon as an upgrade over the stock two barrel. I ran that set-up for nearly 100k miles before I sold that truck.
I had a Holley 3310 that I dialed in to run on the 454 I built for my wife's truck. With tuning and gearing, it would pull down 12 mpg all day long and towed just as well as our Cummins. I've done the carb thing to my heart's content.
