still high, but not as crazy as 40

maybe one of our members should go over there and explain to the seller what "restore" means?

read it again. He says if it was a Cuda or Challenger or Charger in this condition he'd be asking 40k.
I don't think he is far off at 13k. That's a nice car. I'd say if a guy got him down to 11k you'd be getting a fair shake. What would it cost to buy a rust free Duster like that? and paint a car like that? and Wheels? and interior? and new drive train?
Yeah, I don't think he's all that far out at 13k
 
lol I read the ad, but not enough of the subject. that's what I get for looking at craigslist on my phone.
 
build that for 13k then come back talking shyte ,I'm not a Duster guy and I don't know if I would go for the interior he's put in it but it sure looks like he spent a ton of time and money building something he thought would be cool , You sure as hell couldn't replicate it for what he wants for it . Theres a heck of a lot of guys on FABO here that have the 40K+ in building their car and you could expect to be in for close to 40k if you tried to build that around these parts .
 
You couldnt build it for 15k. Even with the chevy engine compartment chrome treatment
 
Just sold my original 69 Dart HT. 318 modded 8 3/4 rear sure grip.
Custom paint,never rust. For 15k

I know which I would take....
 
Lets see any of you build one for 13K like that.
 
This happens here at FABO all the time. If it's a 73/74 Duster, especially with a 318, it's noth'n and overpriced. Here, I'll make an offer right now:
Anybody here got one this nice for 7k, I'll take it! Should be a ton responses, right? I won't get one. Remember, I said this nice. New motor, tranny, paint on a rust free car, new interior, wheels, tires, exhaust. Step up and prove to FABO's 32,000 members that these guys and their car prices are nuts. Sell me one for what it's really worth, 7k max, right.
 
I have about 4 in to mine and it just needs body/paint wheels and tires. How am i doing?

I bought my '74 Duster /6 for 2800.00, a very solid car with some dings. I put the 500 dollar 318 in it using the 150 dollar Schumacher mounts, and backed it with a rebuilt 904, new dual exhaust, new radiator, 2nd hand Rallye wheels, I'm now at an easy 4500 - 4700 bucks. All it still needs is paint and interior :D... And what does a quality paint job like the Duster posted above and interior cost?
 
I have to agree with Rob too. Ain't many to build that as you see it for $13K, not only do parts and materials cost, but you have to remember how much of "time" went to make that car look as you see it!
