It's always a risk no matter where you are, road Or track, closed Or Open circuit. Even with the safety safari on hand.
People die at the track as well so don't cry me a river.
Racing is best done at the track, no doubt.
If I read the story correct, the people killed in that crash were NOT involved in the street race, they just happened to be minding thier own business, driving in thier own lane and got run into by the street racer driving in the wrong lane
There is a great difference between putting your own life at risk and putting the lives of innocent bystanders at risk
@1970boy a word of advice son, you may indeed be a better driver then your peers, but be very careful taking that position
