I believe that may have been, but peaks don't win races, broad torque curves do on the street esp. & the primary thing I wanted to draw attn. to was the short stroke Mopar
had more low-end, contrary to what some would expect.
I'm sure the results would be similar with 400 vs 408.
The advantage of mopar 383/400 vs 383/408 stroker would be bigger bore size for better breathing and better rod ratios for less friction (hp/wear). Plus can be taking up to a way higher powerband (hp) if wanting to over stroker small block. The only real advantage to the small block strokers is size and weight if you care about that.
