Barracuda 383/auto - swap to Stick hurt the value?

Putting together a '67 Barracuda Formula S 383/auto car for a driver. My plans are this summer to put a Gear Vendors overdrive in but I am now kicking around throwing in a TKO 5 speed. A Tremec is a lot of fun, I put one in a '70 Barracuda about 12 years ago & it made a nice driver.

I just don't know about cutting the tunnel & all on a real 383 car. As far as value I think it would be worth more as a stick since it's not a restored & 100% stock. Probably my fenderwell headers hurt the resale price more but I do have the panels that were in it.

Any input?
It's your car so you should be able to do whatever you want but personally if it is a real big block car I would think twice before cutting it. I agree that a manual trans is a lot of fun. Both my cars are stick. You could always go with a 4 speed overdrive setup with better internals and I've heard if you replace the aluminum side cover with a cast iron one it is more durable. Maybe someone else could chime in on this. If you not racing at the track a lot I don't think the 4 speed overdrive would be a detriment and it would be much better on a long drive.
