I had 1967 Chrysler 300 body in good shape years ago but i didn't get a motor with it. It would have looked awesome with a little V6 magnum setting under the hood! Probably slow but real cool!
Sorry maybe should have said "big new Chrysler 300" lol... my parents just got a 2014 and it's almost as fast as their 2009 with the 5.7 Hemi and 5-speed POS Mercedes trans. The awesome thing is that new 8-speed trans has such a wide ratio spread you don't need any more than 3.08 rear gears to push a 4200 lb car with a 3.6L engine. Launches hard, shifts quick, and cruises at 75 mph turning ~2000 RPM.
I do love C-bodies though, wrenched pretty hard on a '69 Polara 2-door and my cousin's '72 Polara 4-door. If I did build one I think I would try to swap in a turbodiesel, I think the front end might be long enough to fit a 6BT Cummins and the front subframe is different than A and B-body Mopars, I think it could be modified easier to hold the weight of a diesel. Height would probably be the main issue.
