New fastest Mopar?
The reality is, it's now 2017. They quit making 1970 cars in 1970. They were and are cool. But now they build far superior products in almost every aspect of the machine. If the technology of the 70's was so good, they would still be building them that way today. They're not. No, we will never get the exact car back that some so dearly love. That's why we are building the ones in our garages. We're trying to keep a cool piece of history alive. But as for daily driving, real daily driving, you can't beat modern technology. You can lie to yourself and try to fool others, but everybody knows driving 1000 miles in an old car vs a new car, there is no comparison. I love my old cars, but I definitely will take my new one on a long journey, and it is far superior in the winter as well. Face it, you're old, and the car of your day is fading away. When you're dead, kids will be building cars that you didn't like, just like the generation before us didn't like what we were doing.
Remember, the Dart was a Granny car for many years with only a few built for performance. The real purpose was basic transportation. Now they are doing the same thing. Most vehicles are built for the masses with a select few being turned into performance minded machines. You don't have to like it, but odds are you're outnumbered by those who do. After all, you are building and working on a Mopar product already.
