What do they want it shortened, contained? How do you trim it anyway, chainsaw?

They used chainsaws back in Memphis to knock it down when it got too tall. Then they made sure to mow along it regularly to keep it in a confined space. A lot of folks also put a concrete sidewalk along it so they could just mow outside of that.
