6.1 Hemi 69 Barracuda Fastback Father Son Project
Welcome your thoughts on my logic.
We did mine in this order:
Repaired body, repaired door jambs (strikers ripped out), added sub frame connectors, torque boxes and other metal repair work.
Test fit the engine and transmission together in the car. Made the new transmission tunnel and cross-member. Cleaned up the firewall.
Modified the front and rear window openings to match the stainless trim. Gapped fenders, doors, hood, and etcetera.
Modified the trunk for the new fuel tank. Did the rear wheel tubs. Added passenger side exhaust hanger mount.
Test fit the intake and air cleaner, modified the hood to clear.
Test fit the front suspension, brake package, wheels and tires. Modified the front fenders and rolled the lip on the rear wheel wells. Made the cut outs for the exhaust tips. Mounted the brackets for the stock console.
So all of the above was finished before any color was put on the car inside / out or underneath.
