Brain fart...trying to install new studs on dual scoops

I was just looking in the garage for some bits that will be just a smidge smaller than the studs, so that there's less plastic to bite away for the threads. Trying to transfer photos, but they won't send...gyah. Going to try opening the hole some and will stay optimistic... ... :)
