Brain fart...trying to install new studs on dual scoops

I was just looking in the garage for some bits that will be just a smidge smaller than the studs, so that there's less plastic to bite away for the threads. Trying to transfer photos, but they won't send...gyah. Going to try opening the hole some and will stay optimistic... ... :)

I'm a trimmer from way back and that always seemed to work. Just try it on one hole of course to see if it will work. Try a drill bit that is the next size up from the size it is now. You may need to try stepping it up until it works. Just be careful and good luck.
