ok I would like to know how he does this with them lil tires? I'm sure there is a logical explanation.

Those are low pressure drag slicks on the back. You can see the twist in the sidewall. On a 3000 lb car, the rear tires don't need to be all that wide when they are 12 lb slicks. Just like a rail dragster, the tires get narrower as rpm increases...
