Stop in for a cup of coffee
I hope with all that attention to weight, you are also figuring out how to rebalance the car to get closer to a 50/50 weight balance.
All the stuff you've talked about so far removes the weight from the rear half of the car and with a heavy big block up front...your balance is going in the wrong direction.
Yes actually I have, most of the weight is actually coming out of the front of the car. The only thing that's really being lightened in the rear half is maybe a couple pounds in the leaf to 4 link conversion.
I've got a few tricks up my sleeve as well, battery to rear most corner, all steel in the back including bumper and bracket, front bumper will be fiberglass along with the hood, no hood hinges, or latch, the 50 lbs of power steering is gone, replaced with a 6 lb power rack, tubular front suspension and disc brakes, roughly 100 lbs there, engine is pretty much all aluminum top end, should end up very close to that of a stock 340 weight, no torsion bars, them heavy things replaced by lighter coil springs, fiberglass dash.
If my math is right, total balance should be very close to 50/50. Right now I'm estimating it at 52/48. With 4 corner coil overs, I should be able to adjust that by corner weight and get very very close.
