Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yikes! The baseball bat method only works on newer cars with much thinner sheet metal.

Post some pics of what you've got and I can give you some advice. Painting side panels requires blending halfway into the adjacent panel...but it can be done. The biggest issue you face is that PCP is the absolute worst paint color to blend. It's a nightmare to match and changes every time you spray it.

Now you tell me!

Dont laugh, after the baseball bat warped the metal, they were still unfinished and I needed the clearance. So I braced the best I could and I took the hammer to them, to get that inner lip curled up. Yep, I caused more of an issue. I was hoping that the chrome trim would cover it but it goes to high into the crease and will still be visible.

I do still have about 3/4 can of paint left so matching the color is not a problem.
