been hanging out on this site forever, figured it was time to finally join.
I am an avid Mopar fan.
My current car is a 71 Duster. It has a healthy little 30 over iron headed 318 in it. Best time to date is 11.66. But I keep pecking away at it.
Anyhow, glad to become a member here

Don

Oh MY!!!! 11.66 with a iron headed 318, but your still "pecking away at it"??? LOL... My type of guy :)
And welcome from Illinois.

It's an engine masters motor I bought going on 4 years ago to hopefully get the car to run 11.50.
Wife said no cage for this car so 11.50 is the goal in hot weather.
I am terrible at figuring out how to post pictures and stuff( will try and figure it out)
But if you want to see the motor build( I have made a couple of minor tweaks to it, cam, etc)
Google " LA Confidential Mopar" that will link you to my little motor build.
Car is an all steel 71. Flat hood, bench interior. 310 pound driver( me) stock tank and 5/16 line. 3415 with full tank of gas at the starting line. 275 radial, 4.10 gear. It's only crossing the stripe at 6,000 rpm so know it would like more gear. Shift it at 6200 so it lives a long happy life.
This spring I will add electric water pump and fan, go to manual steering and hope that gets me to my goal. If not, more gear might be next. It's a streeter, so don't want to lose that in any way.

Welcome -- 11.66 is excellent, with that set up. - I guess "It's Healthy". -- --

:welcome: to the fray. Always good to gain another A-Body enthusiast! Sounds like a nice one - posting pics here is most easily done by saving the image to your computer and then using the "upload photos" link at the bottom right of the reply window.

It took till the 6th post to get your 1st knock on the 318. "excellent, with that set up" ... LOL
That would have never been written if you'd said 340 or 360 :D

-- It was intended as a positive comment. -- - Not a "knock" -- Nothing wrong with a 318. I've had several, and currently I have one, in My Valiant. -- RPMagoo
