What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

The driver's seat on my Fury has 3 places now on the rows of stitching where the vinyl gave way. Decided to try Tear-Aid, type B (for vinyl) from Ace Hardware. I tested it on a small spot a couple weeks ago and it worked well. It's a clear self-adhesive patch they say won't get gummy. It has a little bit of stretch to it. You prep with alcohol (the repair area, not yourself.) You cut it to size then carefully place it while you remove the backing. I used a plastic trim-tool to keep even pressure on it while doing it, and to go over it briskly to get it stuck down good and tight. They say to round the corners when you cut the patch but I didn't read the directions that carefully. It has a matte finish so it's not too noticeable. The adhesive is fully cured in 24 hrs. Ten bucks seems pricey for only 12"x 3" of patch, but it is money well spent to take care of the problem. Hopefully it does.
