Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning, back to work tomorrow so I made a list of stuff to get done today. Living by myself, no one objects if I don't get things done!

Was just reading Rani's "Fireside Chat" early-a thread. I might have known considering how smart she is that eventually she'd come around to how great the early-a's are!

Do you ever trace your life back to the moment that initiated a part of your life? I can trace my love of Mopars to my Dad. His company was sending him to New York and he made it a family vacation. My parents were from New York State and they wanted me to see where they were from and to meet relatives. His company cancelled the trip but he didn't want to disappoint us and he decided to take us anyway on his own dime. He rented a '65 Valiant 200 from Avis at the Syracuse Airport. It was light blue, I remember it very well. That was a "test drive" because he wanted to replace the '54 Chevy that was my Mom's first car and was rusting away. Being frugal, he wanted a V100 with the 170 but there was a V200 225 on the dealer lot. He paid $2200 and she drove it 30 years. Radio delete car.

So when I grew up, I knew Mopars were cars that lasted a long time, especially early-a's. All because Dad didn't want to disappoint us and we ended up going to New York State.
