I went back and forth myself. But figured I might spend a fair amount just to have the bench torn apart to replace the foam and still have the current upholstery. It's not that the upholstery is bad necessarily on the bench. Just not crazy about it. So like with anything, I've found that I may as well spend a little more and get what I want rather than paying a little less now and not be as happy with it, only to end up buying what I really wanted later. But they have a nice feel to them. Good lumbar support, not too soft on the cushion, not too firm.
