turbofreek, I know your exact feeling. My dad had an auto repair shop for 20 years and I had one for 10 years. However you work on entirely different types of problems and issues when doing it as a job. In my case you repaired a wire here or there, checked for shorts or ground issues but didnt do rewiring or design wiring. If a customer had a trans problem we pulled the trans and sent it to the trans shop for rebuild. But here I am re modding my entire car by myself and my biggest worry is what if something doesnt work. Thats probably the reason I work mostly by myself so I can try things before anyone else is around. This forum was fantastic when I rebuilt my entire wiring harness, moving battery to trunk and adding cutoff switch and removing the bulkhead connector so I could hide all wiring from the engine compartment. Then there is the body work which I have put off because I really dont know how to start or do and I want it to be nice. I finally dug in this weekend! I can tell you Im not happy so far with how its going but we will see how it turns out.
