Yep, that's a lot more involved than the one I saw. Hardest part of that is disconnecting the battery. It is buried, not sure if I can reach it todisconnect directly. I know there are jumper points, just need to see if taking it off there is a full disconnect. I really think the actuator and door are fine and set right from what I saw last night, but worth a try . Still a lot easier than messing with the core or even the lines into it that are directly behind the engine.
Nope, you have to disconnect the battery itself for it to work. There are multiple power distribution paths from the battery so it must be disconnected to fully kill the vehicle power. Just be sure to always disconnect the negative cable first, then the positive cable so that you don't get any arching that can destroy modules.
