Solution: buy the genuine Chrysler valve linked in post № 2 of this thread. Automakers have to comply with stringent emissions regulations (for now, anyway) and can get in very expensive trouble if their cars are found to be out of compliance. It's extremely much worth Chrysler's while to make sure the emissions-related parts they sell do what they're supposed to do. Shhhhh, all of this is a secret…oh, wait a sec, no it isn't!
