LOL! Your words ring truer than you know. You see, my wife was a career waitress for 17 years as I was fighting my way up in this business. For a very long time, she brought home more bacon than I did and worked in everything from diners to 5 star hotels on the Gold Coast in Oahu Hawaii. She was very good at it and worked her azz off for the pay she brought home. I know far too well the stories of those that stiffed her and those that rewarded her efforts.

Eventually, my salary grew to be enough to support both of us and she had been beat up enough and decided to leave the business and become a Personal Fitness Trainer specializing in the elderly. A few years later, she decided to become a full time Mom when she became pregnant with my daughter...and I supported it completely.

To this day, we both tip our servers (and even Pizza delivery folks) a minimum of 20% and often much more when they have earned it. We came from hard work and always pay back to those who are earning their living doing the hard work we once did ourselves. We know how hard it is to do what they do, and what it's worth when they do it well...and we aren't shy about paying fair value for a job well done. :)
