1970 Dodge Dart Grill

I did mine as well. Some scotch brite pads or fine sandpaper to scuff it, lots of careful taping with some 3m painters tape, and some paint. I think the quality of the job depends a lot more on the time spent for prep, especially the taping, than it does on skill. It will definitely take longer if you haven't done it before, but I don't think that means you'll end up with a lower quality job if you take your time. It's more of a tedious job than a high skill one. I painted mine a darker metallic color compared to stock.
