72 Demon
The '72's did not have the trunk lid decals.
Due to the religious backlash against the name Demon in '71, the cartoon demon graphic was discontinued on the fenders and trunk for '72.
The '71 340's had the decals on the fenders and the trunk, the '72's had the metal "Demon" and "340" badges on the fenders only.
If you look closely, you'll see that the tail stripe treatment differs between the '71 and '72 cars.....the '71 cars have an additional tab under the demon decal to provide a black background for the decal to sit on. Decal manufacturers like PCG and Phoenix have both year tail stripe treatments available. That said, I'd order the '71 decals and put them on your '72.....the trunk looks a little bare without the cartoon demon on there :)
