All I know is there will be some sort of isolator anywhere that metal would touch glass. Sometimes only a piece of felt paper sandwiched between. I just substitute as needed with felt paper, plastic washers, short pieces of fuel hose, whatever. RT Specialties might have reproductions of exactly like the factory used.
