5" Tach mounting

I am a little worried becase the core of the pad is just thin sheetmetal. These tachs are not light, and then you got heat working against the pad as well. I worry it might make the pad warp/lift over time.

The bottom leg of the tach bracket slides under your dash pad. With a little care nothing is scratched.
One of the photos I posted is of the TB installed in my car. I did this for the photos only since my tach is on the console, so there is no way I would install this on my car if it was going to damage the dash pad, or anything else for that matter. Goes on easy as pie.

As for the weight, yes the tachs are heavy but because of the L bend and the "S" shape the SS bracket is very rigid and doesn't flex up and down much after it is installed. Although the bottom leg can be bent upward so as there is little space between the dash pad and the tach bracket. In the "parts included" shot you will see a small foam square, this can be used under the TB, between it and the dash. It doesn't show in the photo but I found that in my car the windshield actually touched the top of the tach. An extra stop if you will.

If you guys buy it and you don't agree then please return it for a full refund. I believe that you will be very happy, this is a nice part.

Sincerely,

Michael
